In 2006, we took over manufacturing and distribution of the highly respected Dixon brand, a range of NZ manufactured marine boarding ladders, handrails and the gas hob toaster. The range was designed and invented by Neil Dixon and had been sold worldwide for over 30 years. The Dixon range of products is recognised both in NZ and around the world, as a long-lasting, high-quality range of products. Our objective is, and always will be, to ensure that level of quality remains.
The Dixon range has always been manufactured in Warkworth, the original site was near the Historic Cement Works on the Mahurangi River. In the years following 2006, we started to grow the range of products, added more machinery, added and up-skilled the team and expanded the services we could offer. The result has been two more relocation’s over the years to bigger, better premises but still in Warkworth. Remaining in Warkworth has been a key element in ensuring our continued high standards of quality, and thus earning the continued trust that Kiwi manufactured goods enjoy all over the world.
We have endeavoured to retain the flexibility of a small company that can produce custom items to suit any project, but also have the capability to manufacture production runs of any number of items.
We are also now a recognised members of the NZ Story and licensed to use the “Fernmark” logo and Buy NZ Made.
We have a Sustainable Steel Council Gold rating and are members of HERA, NZ Marine & NZ Marina Operators Association. On April 2023 we also attained ISO accreditation for standards 9001, 14001, &45001.
